In this work, researchers at the University of Ulm teamed up with members of the Institute of Quantum Optics to propose a new interferometer scheme. Introducing state-changing transitions simultaneously on both interferometer arms renders the scheme sensitive to violations of the universality of free fall and the gravitational redshift. The work then analyzes experimental feasibility that appears accesible in apparatuses already being commissioned.
