Research activities of the Laser Components and Fibres research group are dedicated to complex optical coating systems of highest precision and quality for laser applications and modern optics. Major topics include the production of coatings with precise ion processes, optics characterisation and corresponding measurement standards, as well as fundamental research in nonlinear properties, growth mechanisms and advanced deposition techniques for laser coatings. The group is also working in field of laser active fibres and maintains a complete chain for the production of speciality fibres for new concepts in laser development and materials research.
